Our Story:

My name is Saranya, and I was born in Bangkok, Thailand, but raised in the United States.  I have always had my feet planted both in Los Angeles and Bangkok, with a wistful look towards the soft beaches of the Thai South.  My husband is a midwestern boy:  born and raised in Chicago.  His family however, are part of the Indian diaspora from Africa, immigrating to the U.S. as college graduate students in the 1960's.  His family home, like mine, was filled with the food, language and customs of many places. Our family and home reflect the close ties of these communities.  We are not so much a melting pot, but rather a fusion of experiences:  mine drifting between Thailand, my 70's LA/Hollywood childhood, and my current OC family living.  For many families that live within and between worlds, we fluidly exchange everything from household goods and decorations, foods, jewelry, and clothes.  I travel to Bangkok with overfilled suitcases full of lotions and soaps from Bath and Body Works, and pistachios and vitamins from Costco.  Then I return with extra bags brimming with lovely items from my Thai home to my Orange County home.  These days, the travels and treasure seeking are a family affair. You are never too young to seek beautiful things!
